Earlier this year we were sent a kit of our own from QOR’s to see how we thought it performed under various workout conditions, such as heat, rain, dirt and sweat. Whatever we were going to throw at it, the people at QOR said their gear would hold up.
On this day we were headed out to our favorite riverside stretch to run a few miles and get some agility work in. We’ve been in the market for a nice outer shell while running and our friends at QOR had the perfect jacket for us. We’re wearing the QOR C Change Training Jacket. With plenty of pockets, breathable, waterproof fit, we found that during our workout, it kept our body temperature just where we needed it with it’s micro tech fleece lining. You’re actually able to wear this with or without a mid layer when the temperature changes. With this jacket, it’s the small details that really shine. Solid pull tabs, elastic drawstring to cinch the jacket tighter at our waist and even Velcro at the wrists to prevent any wind resistance. Don’t think of this jacket as some old-school windbreaker. This jacket can be as versatile inside the gym as it is out. At $238.50, the price is certainly worth the investment on a jacket you’ll be wearing more than 2 times per week. And just incase you were worried about longevity, the QOR jacket is washing machine friendly. Just wash with cold water, hang dry and this protective shell should be ready to go by morning.
Moving to our bottoms, the QORtec Silkweight Stretch Run Short 9”, were especially great because of their internal compression short. Sometimes when wearing running shorts, you need that added support to helps keep things in place, no details needed. The shorts also boasts a reflective strip down the sides incase you were jogging during the evening hours. Besides the fabric used being super soft, the flexibility of these shorts is impressive. QOR offers these shorts in a variety of inseam lengths, which appeals to the running purest or those of us who want to keep their pale winter legs hidden. We chose the 9” short because of the versatility of using it as a running and just an everyday workout short. This style hits just above knee and is slim enough that it won’t catch on anything. Gone is the time of wearing those high school basketball shorts for the gym. Get some gear that was truly made for working out.
The last garment in the kit was the QOR Power Dry Crew SS. This top feels closer to a good fitting t-shirt rather than a moisture wicking compression shirt. Though it does help with controlling your sweat, at no time did the QOR Power Dry Crew SS shirt cause us any discomfort while wearing it. It’s subtle reflectivity, flat lock stitching, and Polygiene® for odor control is another great QOR feature to have on any workout/running shirt. If you’re into being the center of attention, QOR offers a full range of bright colored tops that appeals to even the pickiest gym dressers.
Combining all 3 of these QOR garments was a perfect combination for us. The versatility of the running shorts, the moisture wicking capabilities of top and the waterproofing of the jacket are really the perfect trifecta. The fit, the technologies, and the look…what’s not to like? What makes QOR so different is that they offer it all. You don’t need to worry about piecing together gear with QOR Performance. QOR makes having the right set of clothes for running, biking and the post workout hang, quick and easy.
